Celebrating 11 years!

It’s been a little while since we’ve checked in here – mostly because it’s been a busy season over here in our little corner of Adelaide! We celebrated 11 years of partnering with local community last week! Can you even believe? #legs11 was our theme and we had a sale on pants, as well as a little #blinddatewithabook giveaway for customers looking for a surprise read. Thank you to everyone who popped in last week to wish us a happy birthday, celebrate with cake and reminisce! A huge thank you to our awesome and committed volunteers too, some of whom have been with us for the whole 11 years! We wouldn’t be where we are now without you, and we wouldn’t be able to keep dreaming of what’s next without you either. Thank you for your time, gifts and acts of love over the years!

This July, we also said an extra special farewell to Amanda, the talent being #mycookiecrumbled who has been supplying us with delicious and creative cookies for almost as long as we’ve been in business! Amanda is on to new and exciting adventures and is hanging up her apron, for now – and we want to thank her from the bottom of our cookie jars! Your designs have been so fun and have added light and life to our sweets selection for a long time. You’ll be missed!

In June, one of our volunteers hosted her birthday gathering inside our little shop and in lieu of gifts asked her friends and family to donate towards the postage of our next package to Remote Opshop Project. You can read up a little more about the project by clicking the link here and see the kinds of places that donors can choose from and the kinds of projects out there that are asking for donations. We’ll be in the process of picking the next one very soon and are grateful for the donations that came from that birthday gathering! We can now cover the majority of the postage of the next package, so we’re pretty chuffed about partnering with this project again in the coming months!

This week, we are back on deck again with the usual coffee and sweet treat selections but also a $6 dress sale! As the seasons roll on, we love to help you shuffle things around in your wardrobe. So maybe it’s time you did a clean out and thought about updating your dress selection – partner with us in that space! We are open Wednesday through Friday from 930am until 4pm, and again on Saturday morning from 930am until 1230pm. Looking forward to catching you soon, and thank you again for making the last 11 years some of the most memorable! Here’s to more!
