Did you miss us? While we have had some much needed time off, we have missed being in our community over the summer! We hope you managed to get some rest and reset time; (carefully) catch up with others and enjoy the sunshine and summer breezes we’ve had.

Has anyone been up to the Happy Valley Reservoir over the break? How incredible is nature! It’s just a hop, skip and a jump up the road from our little corner of Adelaide – if you haven’t been yet, it’s absolutely worth your time.

As we slide into another year here at Junktion, we are hopeful of what our little place can offer to the community. Preloved and secondhand goods, a safe place to meet with a friend, coffee and sweet treats and that true Adelaide vibe.

A couple of reminders as we open our doors on Wednesday the 2nd of Feb:

• Masks are needed when you are indoors and not eating/drinking at a table
• Please be mindful of others – keep your space
• Takeaway is definitely an option!
• Stay home if you aren’t feeling up to scratch
• We LOVE your donations, but please speak with us about them – don’t just leave them by our front/back doors as there are some items we CANNOT take
• We have limited seating, so please remember that there might be other customers who’d like to sit

Our hours remain the same this year, too!

Wednesday through Friday – 930am to 4pm
Saturday morning 930am to 1230pm

If there’s anything you’d like us to focus on in the blog this year, please don’t hesitate to suggest it! We love any thrifty ideas coming our way, but in the meantime, you can skim all the way back through the last few years of blogs here and meet some of the volunteers who have helped make Junktion what it continues to be today. You can even check out some of the items we get through our doors!

We know the last few years have been incredibly tumultuous for so many of us in different ways, and while we will continue to abide by the current health advice, we also want this space to be somewhere that you can go to when you need an escape. Maybe you’ve been stuck at home for weeks on end and you need a coffee – come grab a takeaway! Maybe you haven’t braved the big chain stores for new clothes in a while – come check us out and see what you might find for your wardrobe. Maybe you haven’t sat down with a friend and really talked in a long time – come and pull up a chair in our cute little outdoor space, enjoy the sunshine and really shoot the breeze.

Whatever draws you to us this year, we are grateful and we look forward to brewing you a cuppa and helping you find something new-to-you!
